Aizu-Kawaguchi station is a manned station and located in the town of Kaneyama.

The station is currently the terminal station of the Tadami line.

The platform is on the Tadami River and you will see a nice view of the Tadami river there.

In the waiting room of the station, some beautiful photos of the Tadami line are exhibited.

The area where the station is in the center of the town and the town office, banks, some stores, and even a high school are around the station.
Unfortunately, there are no sightseeing spots in the area.

However, there is a hot spring that I do recommend to you if you are a Japanese hot spring fan, though it is located far from the station.

It is the hot spring facility, “Seseragi-so (せせらぎ荘)”.

IMG_0500.JPG

Seseragi-so has a natural carbonated hot spring, which is very rare even in Japan.

They have two kinds of hot spring, with the carbonated hot spring being one of them.
The carbonated hot spring is not so hot, so you can take your time in it.
When you are taking the hot spring, fine bubbles adhere to your whole body, and you will be able to relax and get all warmed up.

The hot spring is not so famous yet, but it can be said to be a hot spring representative of Aizu, even of Fukushima.

By the way, there are other hot springs in the place.

They are small rustic communal baths, which are basically free.

It is a pleasant place surrounded by rustic nature.

If you take a taxi to get there, it costs about 1900 yen.
You won’t regret visiting, even though it’s a long way.
